The country’s largest public sector bank is offering different interest rates on FDs based on the deposit period and the customer’s age.

For a 211-day FD, the interest rate can go as high as 6.50% for super senior citizens.

How Much Interest Does SBI Offer on 211-Day FD?

SBI is offering interest rates between 5.90% and 6.50% on its 211-day fixed deposit.

For customers below 60 years of age, the interest rate is 5.90%.

Senior citizens aged 60 years and above can earn 6.40%.

For super senior citizens aged 80 years and above, the rate goes up to 6.50%.

This means your age can make a noticeable difference in the interest you earn.

What Is the Maximum Amount You Can Deposit?

SBI allows customers to invest up to ₹29,99,999 under this 211-day FD scheme.

So, if you are planning to put a larger amount into a fixed deposit, this limit is important to keep in mind.

SBI FDs can be opened for periods ranging from 7 days to 10 years, depending on the customer’s requirements.

Senior Citizens Get an Extra Benefit

SBI offers senior citizens 0.50% additional interest over the rate available to regular customers.

Super senior citizens aged 80 years and above get another 0.10% higher interest compared with other senior citizens.

That is why the 211-day FD offers 5.90% to regular customers, 6.40% to senior citizens and 6.50% to super senior citizens.

SBI FD Rates Have Not Changed Since December 2025

There is another important point for depositors.

SBI last revised its FD interest rates in December 2025. Since then, there has been no major change in its FD rates.

Before investing, customers should check the latest applicable interest rate and FD terms with SBI, as rates and conditions can change.
