Having a bank account is now essential for everyday life. Whether you want to receive your salary, get government benefits, or make online payments, a bank account is necessary.

To make banking easier, SBI allows customers to open a savings account online from home. The best part is that the SBI Insta Plus Savings Account can be opened digitally without visiting a branch or submitting physical documents.

Skip Long Queues and Open an Account from Home

With SBI’s digital account opening service, you don’t need to stand in long bank queues. The entire process can be completed online in just a few minutes.

This account is designed for people who want a hassle-free banking experience and prefer managing everything digitally.

What is SBI Insta Plus Savings Account?

The SBI Insta Plus Savings Account is a fully digital savings account that can be opened through the YONO SBI app.

Customers do not need to visit a bank branch. The account opening process is completed through online verification and Video KYC.

Once activated, the account provides access to internet banking, mobile banking, UPI services, and a debit card. You can manage the account completely online.

Documents Required for Opening the Account

You only need a few basic documents to open this account:

Aadhaar Card

PAN Card

Mobile number linked with Aadhaar

Email ID

White paper

Black or blue pen (for Video KYC)

Since the KYC process is digital, there is no need to submit hard copies of documents.

How to Open SBI Zero Balance Account Online

Step 1: Download the YONO SBI App

First, download the YONO SBI app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

After installing the app, select the “Open Savings Account” option and choose “Insta Plus Savings Account.”

Enter your mobile number and verify it using the OTP sent to your phone.

Step 2: Enter Aadhaar and PAN Details

Next, provide your Aadhaar and PAN details. The system will verify your information automatically.

After verification, fill in your personal details, address, and other required information.

Step 3: Schedule Video KYC

Once the application form is completed, book a convenient time slot for Video KYC.

Step 4: Complete Video KYC

At the scheduled time, an SBI representative will connect with you through a video call.

During the verification process, you will need to show your PAN card. After successful verification, your account will be activated.

Benefits of SBI Zero Balance Account

The biggest advantage of this account is that there is no minimum balance requirement. You do not have to worry about penalties for maintaining a low balance.

Customers also get access to digital banking services such as internet banking, UPI, and the YONO SBI app. These services allow you to transfer money, check account balances, pay bills, and recharge mobile phones from anywhere.

The account also comes with an ATM/debit card, making cash withdrawals and online shopping convenient.

This account is especially useful for students, salaried employees, and anyone looking for a simple banking solution without extra charges.

In addition, government scheme benefits and other direct transfers can be credited directly to this account, making it a convenient choice for everyday banking.
