EPFO has made the process much simpler by allowing members to complete Aadhaar-UAN linking directly through the UMANG app.

How to Link Aadhaar with UAN Using the UMANG App
If your Aadhaar is not linked to your UAN, follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Download the UMANG App
Install the UMANG app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Step 2: Register Your Account
Open the app and register using the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar. Create a 4-digit M-PIN to secure your account.
Step 3: Open EPFO Services
After logging in, select the EPFO section and tap on e-KYC Services.
Step 4: Choose Aadhaar Seeding
Select the Aadhaar Seeding option and enter your UAN.
Step 5: Verify Your UAN
An OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked to your UAN. Enter the OTP and then provide your Aadhaar details.
Step 6: Complete Aadhaar Verification
You will receive another OTP on the mobile number or email linked to your Aadhaar.
Enter this OTP to complete the Aadhaar-UAN linking process.
In most cases, the updated Aadhaar linking status appears in EPFO records within 24 hours.
How to Check If Aadhaar Is Already Linked
You can easily verify your Aadhaar linking status through the EPFO member portal.
Log in using your UAN and password, then open the Profile Information section.
If your Aadhaar has been linked successfully, you will see your masked Aadhaar number along with a Verified status.
UAN Activation Is Also Available on the UMANG App
EPFO has expanded the services available on the UMANG app. Members can now activate their UAN, create a new UAN, and access several services using Aadhaar-based Face Authentication (FAT), making the entire process more convenient.
