Every month, both the employee and employer contribute 12% of the employee’s basic salary to the PF account.

Out of the employer’s contribution, 8.33% goes to the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS).

If you have left your job or retired, you can withdraw your PF balance online without visiting an EPFO office.

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) allows eligible members to complete the entire process through its online portal or the UMANG app.

Who Can Withdraw the Full PF Amount?

You can withdraw your entire EPF balance only after leaving your job or retiring.

EPFO rules allow members to:

Withdraw 75% of the PF balance immediately after leaving a job.

Withdraw the remaining 25% after two months, provided they remain unemployed.

To apply online, you must meet certain eligibility conditions.

Eligibility Conditions for Online PF Withdrawal

Before submitting your claim, make sure the following requirements are met:

Your Universal Account Number (UAN) is active.

Aadhaar, PAN and bank account details are verified.

Your mobile number is linked to Aadhaar.

Your date of exit from your previous job has been updated in EPFO records.

You have remained unemployed for at least two months if you want to withdraw 100% of your PF balance.

How to Withdraw PF Online Through the EPFO Member Portal

Follow these simple steps to submit your online PF claim:

Log in to the EPFO UAN Member Portal using your UAN and password.

Go to Manage > KYC and confirm that your Aadhaar and bank details are verified.

Click on Online Services and select Claim (Form-31, 19, 10C & 10D).

Verify your bank account details and click Verify.

Accept the Certificate of Undertaking by clicking Yes.

Click Proceed for Online Claim.

Select Form 19 for full PF settlement.

Tick the declaration box, enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number, and submit your claim.

After submission, you can track your claim status online through the EPFO portal.

How to Withdraw PF Using the UMANG App

EPFO members can also submit their PF withdrawal request through the UMANG app.

Follow these steps:

Open the UMANG app and log in with your registered mobile number.

Search for and open EPFO services.

Select Raise Claim under Employee-Centric Services.

Enter your UAN and verify it using the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.

Choose Full PF Settlement under the withdrawal options.

Verify your bank account details linked to your UAN.

Upload the required documents, if requested.

Submit the claim application.

Save the claim reference number so you can track the status later.

Online PF Withdrawal Makes the Process Easier

EPFO’s online services have made PF withdrawal much more convenient.

Eligible members can now submit their claims, verify documents, and track the application status from home through the EPFO Member Portal or the UMANG app, without visiting an EPFO office.
