One of the biggest changes is the introduction of the Centralized Pension Payment System (CPPS).
This system has been fully implemented since January 1, 2025.
With this, pension payments are now more timely and smooth for over 7 million pensioners every month.

Claims Now Settled Much Quicker
Waiting for PF claims could earlier take weeks. But now, things have improved significantly.
As per government data, more than 3.5 crore claims (up to ₹5 lakh) have been settled automatically in the current financial year.
Around 71% of claims are now processed without manual intervention.
This means faster approvals and less waiting time for employees.
Easy PF Account Transfer After Job Change
Changing jobs used to make PF transfers complicated.
It required approvals and multiple steps.
Now, the process is much simpler.
Once your KYC details are updated, your PF account can be transferred automatically.
So far, over 70 lakh such auto-transfers have already been completed without any manual effort.
Claim Settlement Now in Just 3 Days
Earlier, settling a PF claim could take up to 20 days.
Now, with improved systems and automation, most claims are being settled in less than 3 days.
