According to the company, Friday, March 13, 2026 has been fixed as the record date. Investors who hold the company’s shares on this date will be eligible to receive the bonus shares.

The stock has delivered about 8% return over the past one year. At the same time, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) have shown strong interest in the stock.

Their shareholding has increased from 10.17% in March 2025 to 11.43% in March 2026.

1:1 Bonus Share Issue Explained

Earlier, the board of eClerx Services Ltd had recommended issuing bonus shares in a 1:1 ratio. This means investors will receive one additional share for every one share they already hold.

For example, if an investor currently owns 100 shares, they will receive 100 bonus shares, increasing their total holding to 200 shares after the bonus issue.

Shareholder Approval and Allotment Timeline

The company has confirmed that the bonus share proposal has been approved by shareholders. The voting results were announced on March 6, 2026, after the completion of the postal ballot voting process.

The company has also shared the schedule for the allotment of the bonus shares. The allotment will be considered on Monday, March 16, 2026.

After that, the newly issued shares are expected to start trading in the market from Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

Why Companies Issue Bonus Shares

Companies usually issue bonus shares to reward their investors and improve the liquidity of their stock in the market.

When bonus shares are issued, the total number of shares increases, which can sometimes attract more retail investors.

After such announcements, investors often keep a close watch on the stock before the record date, as trading volumes and investor interest tend to rise during this period. ????
