Bank of Baroda has introduced a new fixed deposit (FD) scheme that aims to attract investors looking for stable and rewarding returns.

Named the “bob Golden Goal Deposit Scheme”, this special FD has been launched from June 12, 2026.

This scheme comes with a fixed tenure of 555 days and is available for deposits below ₹3 crore.

It offers higher interest rates depending on the type of investor, making it appealing for both regular customers and senior citizens.

Attractive interest rates for different investors

Under this FD scheme, the interest rate varies based on age category, ensuring better returns for senior citizens.

For general customers, the bank offers an annual interest rate of 6.75%.

Senior citizens aged above 60 years will receive 7.25%, while super senior citizens above 80 years can earn 7.35% per year.

These rates already make the scheme competitive compared to many traditional FD options in the market.

Extra benefit for non-callable FD option

Investors can earn even higher returns if they choose the non-callable FD option, which means the money cannot be withdrawn before maturity of 555 days.

In this case, the bank adds an extra 0.05% interest rate, increasing the earnings further.

Under this option, the revised rates become:

General public: 6.80%

Senior citizens: 7.30%

Super senior citizens: 7.40%

This makes it the most rewarding option under the scheme for those who can lock their funds for the full tenure.

How to invest in this FD scheme

Bank of Baroda has made the investment process simple and accessible for all customers.

Existing customers can open the FD through the bob World mobile app, net banking, or by visiting any Bank of Baroda branch.

New customers can also invest directly by visiting the bank’s official website, even without having a savings account.

What the bank said about the scheme

According to Bina Waheed, Executive Director of Bank of Baroda, this scheme is designed to help customers take advantage of the current interest rate environment.

She said the “bob Golden Goal Deposit Scheme” offers a strong opportunity for investors to achieve their financial goals with better and more stable returns.
