According to reports, EPFO members will be able to check:
PF account balance
Claim status
Last five transactions
Other account-related details
The aim is to make EPFO services faster, simpler, and more accessible without requiring users to visit offices or log into multiple portals.
The new system is also expected to reduce delays in accessing routine PF information.
How the EPFO WhatsApp Service Will Work
Using the service is expected to be very simple.
Members will need to:
Send “Hello” to EPFO’s official WhatsApp number
Verify using the mobile number linked with their UAN (Universal Account Number)
Access a menu displayed in their preferred local language
Users can then choose different options or answer simple prompts to get information instantly.
EPFO may also allow subscribers to receive updates and notifications directly on their registered mobile numbers through WhatsApp.

Reports suggest EPFO will use an AI-powered chatbot to manage user queries.
