The PM SVANidhi Yojana, launched by the Modi government during the COVID-19 pandemic, provides financial support to street vendors and small entrepreneurs.

Under this scheme, you can get loans up to ₹90,000 to start or expand your business.

Extended Benefits Until 2030

Even though the country has recovered from the pandemic, the Modi government has extended the PM SVANidhi scheme until 31 March 2030 to continue helping small businesses.

Initially, the scheme offered loans up to ₹80,000, but this was increased to ₹90,000 in 2025.

The scheme also provides a UPI-linked RuPay credit card, along with cashback on digital payments for retail and wholesale transactions.

This makes it easier for small vendors to adopt digital payments and grow their businesses.

Loans Without Any Guarantee

One of the biggest advantages of the PM SVANidhi Yojana is that loans are given without any guarantee or collateral.

The loan is provided in three installments, gradually increasing as the borrower repays the previous amounts.

Here’s how it works:

First installment: ₹15,000

Second installment: ₹25,000 (given after the first installment is repaid on time)

Third installment: ₹50,000 (disbursed after timely repayment of the second installment)

This phased system allows vendors to build creditworthiness and access larger loans over time.

Simple Process to Apply

Getting a loan under the PM SVANidhi scheme is very easy.

You mainly need your Aadhaar Card, and there’s minimal paperwork involved.

Loans can be repaid in small EMIs, making it convenient for small business owners.

To apply, simply visit any government bank, fill out the application form, attach a copy of your Aadhaar Card, and submit it.

Once the bank verifies your details, your loan is approved.

Millions Already Benefited

The scheme has already helped millions of people.

As of December 9, 2025, more than 10.1 million loans worth ₹15,191 crore have been given to over 69.66 lakh beneficiaries.

Over 4.8 million beneficiaries are digitally active under this program.

government aims to reach 11.5 million street vendors through this initiative.

With easy access, no collateral, and digital facilities, the PM SVANidhi Yojana has become a lifeline for small entrepreneurs across India.
