Bank of Baroda Slashes FD Rates after RBI Repo Cut

At the same time, due to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) lowering the repo rate, many banks have started cutting interest rates on fixed deposits (FDs).

This has become a double setback for investors. Now the question is—where should people invest to earn good returns while keeping their money safe? In such a situation, Bank of Baroda, one of the major public sector banks, has also reduced its FD interest rates.

Bank of Baroda Cuts FD Interest Rates

Bank of Baroda has surprised its crores of customers by cutting FD interest rates. The bank has reduced the FD rates by 0.20% for selected tenures.

These new rates are applicable from today, 7 April 2025. Bank of Baroda is offering FDs ranging from 7 days to 10 years. These rates apply to deposits below ₹3 crore.

Updated Bank of Baroda FD Interest Rates

7 to 14 days – 4.25% (General); 4.75% (Senior Citizens)

15 to 45 days – 4.50% (General); 5.00% (Senior Citizens)

46 to 90 days – 5.50% (General); 6.00% (Senior Citizens)

91 to 180 days – 5.60% (General); 6.10% (Senior Citizens)

181 to 210 days – 5.75% (General); 6.25% (Senior Citizens)

211 to 270 days – 6.25% (General); 6.75% (Senior Citizens)

271 days to less than 1 year – 6.50% (General); 7.00% (Senior Citizens)

1 year – 6.85% (General); 7.35% (Senior Citizens)

Above 1 year to less than 400 days – 7.00% (General); 7.50% (Senior Citizens)

Above 400 days to 2 years – 7.00% (General); 7.50% (Senior Citizens)

Above 2 years to 3 years – 7.15% (General); 7.65% (Senior Citizens)

Above 3 years to 5 years – 6.80% (General); 7.40% (Senior Citizens)

Above 5 years to 10 years – 6.50% (General); 7.50% (Senior Citizens)

Above 10 years (Court Order Scheme) – 6.25% (General); 6.75% (Senior Citizens)

444 days (Square Drive Deposit Scheme) – 7.15% (General); 7.65% (Senior Citizens)
