The primary goal of this initiative is to ensure that farmers receive the benefits of these schemes in a transparent and efficient manner.
The Farmer Registry process has been divided into two phases: the first phase ended on November 24, 2024, while the second phase will continue until December 31, 2024.

Agriculture Officer Som Prakash Gupta highlighted the importance of this registry, stating that it is necessary for all farmers.
The registry not only helps farmers access government schemes but also strengthens their financial security by ensuring that benefits are distributed fairly.
Farmer Registration Process
The government has provided multiple options for farmers to register, ensuring that the process is accessible to everyone.
Online Registration Options Farmers can register through the following online platforms:
Web Portal: Farmers can visit this portal to enter their details like Gata number, family member information, and other relevant data.
Mobile App: The “Farmer Registry UP” app offers a simple and fast way for farmers to complete their registration by downloading it on their smartphones.
Offline Registration Option For farmers who are unable to use online platforms, they can visit their nearest Public Service Center (CSC) for registration. The required documents include:
1) Certified copy of Khatauni
2) Family ID number or ration card
3) Aadhaar card
4) Mobile number linked to Aadhaar
Deadline for Registration
The last date for farmer registration is December 31, 2024. After this date, farmers who have not completed the registration may face difficulties in accessing government benefits and schemes.
Required Information for Farmer Registry
The following details will be recorded in the Farmer Registry:
1) Farmer’s name and father’s name
2) Number of Gata owned by the farmer
3) Details of share in case of co-ownership
4) Farmer’s mobile number and Aadhaar number
5) Information related to e-KYC
Important Note: If there is any change in ownership (such as inheritance or sale), the farmer’s registry will become invalid. This ensures that the registry contains only accurate and authentic information.
Benefits of the Farmer Registry
After December 2024, the Farmer Registry will be mandatory for accessing schemes like the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi and other government benefits. The registry will provide several advantages, including:
1) Easier compensation claims in case of natural disasters or crop failure.
2) Proof for obtaining crop loans from banks and other financial institutions.
3) Priority for government assistance during natural disasters like floods or droughts.
