Post Office Ria Money Transfer Facility has been launched at the Mallital Head Post Office in Nainital.

The facility has been introduced at Mallital Head Post Office to provide a convenient option to people in Nainital and nearby areas.
According to Devashish Joshi, Branch Manager of India Post Payments Bank, the service is aimed at making the process of receiving money from abroad easier and faster.
Up to ₹2 Lakh Can Be Received
As per the information provided by postal officials, recipients can withdraw up to ₹2 lakh under the Ria Money Transfer facility without any charge. The payment can be processed after the beneficiary provides the required identification information.
Aadhaar and PAN card details are required for completing the payment process. Eligible recipients can visit the post office with the necessary documents and information to collect the money sent from abroad.
Western Union Service Was Earlier Available
Postal officials said that post offices had earlier provided Western Union services for receiving money from abroad. After that facility was discontinued, many people started using private companies and Common Service Centres (CSCs) for receiving remittances.
These options could involve additional charges and, in some cases, more formalities. The new facility gives people another option to receive money through their nearest post office.
Money Can Be Received Within Minutes
One of the key features of the service is the quick payment process. After the money is sent from abroad, an eligible recipient can visit the post office with the required identification details and complete the payment process.
