How to Check if your EPF Interest has been Credited to your Account

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has started crediting the annual interest amount to EPF subscribers’ accounts.

Many members have already received SMS notifications, while others can confirm the credit by checking their EPF passbook.

If you haven’t received an SMS yet, don’t panic.

The interest may have already been credited to your account. Before filing a complaint, it’s important to check your EPF passbook first.

EPFO allows members to check their PF balance and passbook through multiple methods.

Visit the EPFO Member Passbook portal and log in using your Universal Account Number (UAN) and password.

Once logged in, you can view your passbook and check whether the latest interest has been credited.

You can also use the UMANG app to access your EPF passbook.

After logging in with your credentials, your updated PF balance and interest details will be available.

Members who have activated their UAN and linked their Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account can use these free services.

Give a missed call to 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number to receive your PF account details.

You can also send an SMS to 7738299899 in the following format:

EPFOHO UAN ENG

Replace ENG with the first three letters of your preferred language if required. For example, use MAR for Marathi.

If you check your passbook and still do not see the interest entry, you can raise a complaint with EPFO.

Before filing a grievance, make sure you have checked your passbook carefully, as SMS notifications may sometimes be delayed.

Follow these steps:

Visit the EPFO grievance portal.

Click on “Register Grievance.”

Select the “Other” option if applicable.

Fill in the required details in the complaint form.

Submit the form to register your grievance.

EPFO will review your complaint and provide an update after verification.

Many members may not receive the SMS notification immediately, even though the interest has already been credited to their account.

For this reason, EPFO advises subscribers to first check their passbook through the portal, UMANG app, SMS, or missed call service.

Only if the interest is still missing should you register a complaint.

EPFO has started depositing interest into EPF accounts, and members can verify the credit through their passbook.

If you haven’t received an SMS, check your account using the EPFO portal, UMANG app, missed call, or SMS service.

If the interest is still not reflected after verification, you can raise a complaint through the EPFO helpline or the online grievance portal.
